Alias - no more
to all you ALIAS fans we've only got one more week. since it splashed back on the scene last month after numerous, speculated, re-writes since the series was cancelled, i've not wanted to miss a moment (i'm not sure if i'm proud or ashamed of being so hooked). it must have been quite a chore to rap 500 years of Rembaldi secrets in five episodes. at least they're finally back to that story line. maybe JJ came over from Hawaii to have his hand in the last few scripts. actually, i stopped watching the show back in the 4th season somewhere. it got too convoluted. fortunately, i was able to catch up because the whole 5th season can be viewed for free online at www.ABC.com.how's this all going to come down anyway? i'm anticipating some mom (irena), dad, sydney and posse showdown with Sloan. BUT, will this lead to the eventual destruction of all the secret Illuminatti-like inner circles so the world "can be safe?" (what were all their names anyway... SD-6, the Covenant, Prophet Five, the man..... who can keep track). OR will syd and vaughn just have to resolve to live in a world that has corruption, greed and conspiracy? isn't that what the rest of us have to do? i think we all dream of white beaches with no smog, noise, cell phones and notorious hit-men stalking us.
So, if you don't have anything to do this weekend, or if you do have lots to do and are a good procrastinator check out the Alias 5th Season. who knows how long this will be available, the DVDs will be on sale at some point. it doesn't look like the last episode is viewable anyway.
here's to Syd, Vaugn, Sloan and the gang. and here's to JJ Abrams. here's to the hours of my life spent with this dysfunctional family - poor syndey. here's to syd kicking butt, here's to her never getting a black eye or needing a stich. here's to the wigs. here's to the global dance clubs where the bad guys always can be located. here's to the bad accents of the scads of languages the agents bestow. here's to the agents never being jet-lagged. here's to her never having to dress up as a call girl again. now that the shows seems to have a little more focus it seems hard to say goodbye. but, at least we have LOST. incidently, if you've got loads of time to waste you can catch the last handful of LOST episodes as well.

sadness - you can't view it? blast! i'll check into it the possibility of being downloaded.
thanks for the kudos - ah shucks.
the other nite i was up until until 4A catching up. bad me, that was on a school nite. i shoulda gone online. i coulda been chatting w/ya Ben. then at least i'd of accomplished something in all that time. i was doing my knitting so i guess that counts.
Alas - its over. for fear of giving away the ending for those who haven't seen the finale i'll refrain from commenting on many things. suffice it to say Vaughn and Syd got their sandy beach, i will say that cuz you knew they would.
after viewing the finale, it's clear that it was time to be over. i was surprised by a few things like seeing some faces i didn't think we'd see again. but, it was time.
yep - i think they've having trouble coming up with new ideas. it seemed like the last few episodes and the finale borrowed from scenes & lines from other movies like the Matrix, The Italian Job to name a few - even Raiders of the Lost Ark.
time to put it to bed.
I watched Alias the first few years also. I'm not sure which season it was that I gave up on it. But it seemed to lose the train of thought.
