Off we go - with a hitch

Just a quick note.
We started our first gathering tonite. So far only about half the people who pre-registered have made it to the base. It may be due to travel problems or due to travel jitters. One of the 24/7 had to travel into London today from up here. She said the Tube is hardly running, but the trains are running and crammed. She said there was an odd, still, calm over everyone. There just seems to be this "we going to go one attitude."
Do really what else to say.
