At first we heard it was a power surge....

We started today with anticipation. There was practically a gale during the nite so we were praying this morning the rains to part so that the campers might stay dry. Little did we know what was going some 40 miles south/East of us.

Some of the people were expecting to come in began phoning around 9:15A saying had there was a power surge in the middle of London. Soon it became much more clear what actually happened. We decided to stop everything and gather with the groups of people on the base. We all listened as the leader of the YWAM school read the news report. We prayed. I think we're all kind of shocked/stunned and dismayed not really how to respond. Are we to go and or crumple in a puddle.

We watched the news as I'm sure most of the rest of the World that was awake. I kept thinking everyone back home is still sleeping not knowing that one the largest cities in the world was hit in her underbelly.
