Hey guess what?????
We're in Edinburgh!Guess what has been our mantra in each city we've been to. It's like we keep wanting to pinch ourselves in unbelief that it could really be true.
Hey, guess what? We're in Prague!
..... We're in Germany!
..... We're in Reading (1 hour west of London)
..... We're in the English countryside (on a train on our way to Scotland)
At this moment Sheena and I are sitting in an internet café right off the royal mile (the central area of Edinburgh). Our whole trip the weather has been great except for one day in Germany when we got quite wet trying to figure out which museum we "didn't" want to go to. We've wondered if we are bringing the fair weather along with us. We've also been joking about being over budget and that we needed to get back to a missionary diet/lifestyle consisting of rice and beans. So on our way up to Scotland yesterday I pondered where in Edinburgh we would find such a dish. As we were catching up with our YWAM missionary friends last nite (who say "HI" to our Shine crew from last Summer) Chris Brown asked if we'd had a meal and if we'd liked beans and rice. He fixed them Moroccan style - the best beans and rice I'd ever had. We had a good laugh and spent a lovely evening with our hosts catching each other up on the last year. AND by the way Naomi is pregnant. She finds out next week if there is more than one baby as she had an IVF procedure.
There's too much to tell so these brief musings seem rather trite, but I wanted ya'll to know i'm alive and still can't believe I'm actually in the UK.
That's me looking out the window of our train heading from Prague to Germany.
